How we met,

One of my best friends Cassie, was friends with Jake back in high school and thought that we would be the perfect match. Our first date was at Firehouse in Martinez in 2019. We laughed all night and we knew in that moment, we found something special. Almost 6 years later, still together.

Proposal,

Jake had planned a surprise horseback ride on the beach at sunrise in the beautiful town of Half Moon Bay, CA. It was about a 2-hour horseback ride through the nearby woods and ended with a ride along the beach. After leaving the ranch, Jake suggested that we should stop at this nearby beach to have some snacks and enjoy the beach before we headed back home. We pulled up to Dunes Beach and right when we walked down the sandy hill, I saw a beautiful proposal set up with red and black roses everywhere. Scattered with rose petals and candles, I saw a white blanket that said, "Will you marry me?" Jake got down on one knee and expressed how much he loved me and couldn't imagine life without me. Of course, without any hesitation, I said yes!

Suddenly, Jake said, "Smile at the camera!" I turned around to face the cliffs and saw my two best friends Tori and Cassie hiding, recording the entire time. The girls got there a few hours early beforehand and set up the entire thing. We all celebrated our engagement by heading over to the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company and had celebratory drinks and apps. Later on that night, the three of us went to downtown where we met up with some more friends. First stop was Five Suns in downtown Martinez and to end the night, we stopped at our favorite Mexican restaurant, La Tapatia.
